WELCOME

I don’t remember when this thought came to existence in my brain, and I can’t sit here and say that this was some big revelation from God, nor am I saying that everything written here is inspired and proven with scripture to be 100% correct, but I can tell you that what I write and say in here has been studied and thought through with scripture for many years. So, just in case there are cases where what I present can be proven biblically untrue, I am open to revise what is written and my thoughts. I can say with confidence that what is written here will help things “make sense”. I like to say it helps what is written in the bible “come to life”, to make the bible real and understandable, in real life terms, not just pass things off as “oh, it’s a miracle of God and we’ll leave it at that”. Not that I do not believe in God’s miracles, I do, and life does not exist without God performing miracles daily, I just find that when we as mortal man cannot explain some things, we simply pass them off as “miracles”.

In the year 2000, I had the pleasure of going on a tour in Israel. It was this time in my life that I can attribute my change in thinking about how God uses natural resources to accomplish his miracles. I also believe that God knew he was going to need these resources to accomplish his tasks, hence when He created the earth He had all these things in mind. Often there are things in the Bible that, as I explained earlier, I would just attribute to be a miracle, but in fact could be explained be God’s natural resources. One occasion would be when Jesus fed the thousands with the little boy’s fish and bread. I’m not talking about the fact that thousands were fed with only a few fish and little bread, and there was more gathered up that was left over than what was originally available. That was indeed a miracle. What I have always wondered is how, as Jesus spoke, were all those people able to hear what Jesus was saying. I mean, you take a few thousand people and put them in a field and you can’t hear what someone is saying standing twenty feet away, so how are that many people going to hear what one man is saying without the modern technology of today’s times.

I have often heard it explained that the people passed along the information to the back of the crowd as Jesus spoke the words. Yeah right! Two major problems there; One is the fact that the murmur of all the people passing the information, even a quiet whisper, would overcome the sound of Jesus speaking and within only a few minutes would become a roar of noise that would make it impossible for even those only a few feet away from Jesus to hear.  And then there’s number two. Have you ever played the game “Telephone line”? You may know the game as Chinese whispers, Grapevine, Broken telephone, Whisper down the lane, or some other name, but the fact that a message can be passed from one person to another and retain its original meaning is simply not possible, unless of course, being a miracle of God.

Another instance where Jesus spoke to thousands was on the Mount of Beatitudes in Matthew 5, the famous “Sermon on the Mount”. Jesus spoke a long time, said a lot of things, to a lot of people. Once again, how did all those people hear him?

My ultimate conclusion to explain the phenomenons was simple, that these were miracles of God. God simply made it possible for all those attending to hear what Jesus was saying. God can do that and I have absolutely no problem with it.

But what I learned about the “Sermon on the Mount” through my trip to Israel was the revealing fact that God performed another miracle much earlier in time, to make this “miracle” occur.  Simply put, when God created the landscape, He created this perfect spot beside the Sea of Galilee where one day He knew Jesus would need to be able to speak to thousands of people at one time. There was this perfect God made amphitheater in the side of the hill beside the Sea of Galilee. I stood right there where Jesus probably stood, He could have spoken to thousands of people, and they would all be able to hear every word He was saying.

It was that moment that change my way of thinking about what the bible says, and how we interpret it. I’m not saying there was this “snap” and I thought differently, but that was the beginning of the thought process that would lead to my conclusions of  just how God has laid the foundations of the world and mankind and the flowers of the field, the birds of the air, the universe, and well, the list goes on.

So what does this have to do with the title “Time is a Creation”? Hopefully you can see a glimpse of what I saw, and where I came to my understanding of the concept that time is indeed a creation of God.  Not just because I said so, but because I desire to search out God’s wisdom in this matter to help me understand more about God and His creation, and ultimately where we are going. Not for “where we are going” sake, but so we can be comfortable in the knowledge of it being so, and therefore, to be more effective in our witness for the Truth of God.
